3rd Assignment:
What are your impressions of the boy and children in TEQA format.
The boy is not a soicable person. In the poetry, he is known to lean against the playground wall which actually acts as an emotional support and security for him. He will smack his hands against the bricks do other boredom-beating trick. While smacking against the bricks, he does not seem to feel any pain. He is numb to it. He even started tracing patters with his feet and scuffing to make the tarmac squeak. He was bored to the point that he got bored of it and decided to do other things. He always stays at the wall, not daring to join the other children. According to the text, it is said "and never plays", that means he is always returning, and desiring for other children to extend an invitation to him. He is always feeling very lonely. Therefore, I conclude that he is an introvert and a shy boy.
The children are selfish people I think. Though the children are very close to each other, and each have familiar cliques, I stand by my stand that they should be friendly and extend an invitation to the boy known as The Loner. They ran, skipped, walked past him yet they were whispering about him. According to the text "low talking" means to gossip and does not want him to hear about it. From their mean gossips and unfriendliness, I conclude that they are selfish people. I do not have a good impression of them.

My 2nd Assignment:
Write one paragraph each for why Jack and the Giant both deserve our sympathy.I sympathise with the Giant. Though he may be scary, always eating up young English boys who ever stepped into his house, he was also a victim of Jack.He was always saying "Fee-fi-fo-fum, I smell the blood of an Englishman, Be he alive, or be he dead, I'll have his bones to grind my bread" That shows that he does eat englishmen. Everytime Jack went to his house, Jack would steal his precious things like the hen, harp and the bag of gold. He was always fooled by his wife as she thought the young lad was harmless. Even when he wanted to chase the boy, he did not have the chance as while climbing down the beanstalk, Jack used an axe and cut it. Hence, he died without doing anything wrong as eating young english boys is only what we call, one of their source of food. Therefore, I sympathise with him.
I sympathise with Jack. He may be a greedy little boy who always wants more but he was a poor child and it was only normal that he stole things. However, that does not give him an excuse to do so. And he did not know he was being tricked hence his cow was being given away. He even got scolded by his mum for doing that. He deserves our sympathy.

My First Assignment:
Do you sympathise with The Joker?I do not sympathise with The Joker. He is a psychotic killer. He even mentioned that the people of Gotham will die one by one each day if Batman does not reveal his identity. Clearly, he must have to be psychotic and mad to actually think that murdering is a leisure sport.
The second reason why I do not sympathise with Joker is that he is very cunning. He even killed his own men so that he can get what he wants. In the movie, he drove in and killed his men just to get the money and lure Batman. I thought that was very cruel of him and a cruel man does not deserve to be sympathised.
Lastly, his joke is why I do not sympathise with him. He made a joke that he was going to make the pencil disappear. The pencil did disappear but that was through stabbing Gambol with it . " Ta-da! It's... it's gone. Oh and about the suit. It wasn't cheap. You oughta know: you bought it"that dialogue he made proves he is a mad man. Even before killing him, he treated that as a magic trick. That was definitely pure evil.
A psychotic, cruel man definitely does not deserve to be sympathised.
What have you learnt from the lesson?I have learnt how impressions are formed. Through speech, appearance, relationships with others, actions and backgrounds, the first impression is formed. This lesson also tells me that although villains are evil, they may have valuable traits that we do not noticed and we must always learn how to analyze the characters so that it can help us to better understand the movie or story. Also, I learnt to look at things from different angles and not just from one perspective. In life, many times, we tend to judge one by it's personality, it's appearance and stuff like that. We need to know that people may look ugly but is a very kind person; people may look pretty but may be evil. That was just an example. My point being that we should never judge a book by its cover. Many people have different views and we just got to accept the different opinions and try to change or we try to convince the other party. That is one point to note when we ourselves receive comments or opinions from each other as the whole thing is to learn from each other(:
